T&FH Consultant Training

If you have received a calling, and your ward clerk has identified your calling as a Ward Temple and Family History Consultant into LDS Tools, the Temple and Family History Committee of the church is prepared to send you announcements about your calling through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Since your ward T&FH Lead is invited to attend the Ward Council, it is highly recommended you attend this monthly coordination meeting to determine what the ward has set for a goal. You may be needed to serve one two-hour shift a month in a FamilySearch center, to train people on how to log in, print temple names, or enter a member of their family into FamilySearch.org.

One day each month, the stake provides a training meeting taught by Holly Cragun at 7 p.m. A repeat of this training is taught by Karen Clifford on the Sunday following the above mentioned training center from 6-8 p.m. Both are held at the: Provo East Tri-Stake FamilySearch Center, 667 N. 600 E., Provo, UT 84606. It is located on the southwest side of the Stake Center building by entering up the stairs into the first outside door marked with a sign labeled Family History Center (until the signage is updated. A handicap entrance is available from the south side (main entrance to the building).

Your service will help gather the family of God on both sides of the veil. Your primary role is to help individuals and families increase their love of family and build connections to their ancestors and our Heavenly Father.  It will then direct you to a Temple and Family History Callings page where training is broken down by individual areas.

If you have a special training need, please click the Help tab on this site, scroll down to the Contact Us button, and click again. Phone numbers are provided for people who can help you.

Individuals lessons can be started at any time here on this web site. Click on the Home tab and scroll down to the middle of the page and click the Lessons button in the middle of the page.

We hope to meet you at our monthly training meetings.  Everyone who is interested in learning how to do family history is welcome to attend.
